Home Decor Sewing Boot Camp

It's about time right?

Everyone wants to save money right now... and since we are our goal is saving money, we are staying home more.

What better reason to get our houses and apartments looking gorgeous.

And what is better than doing this on the cheap???

Well, if you agree, you are in luck!

We are going to be offering our first ever Home decorLab at the studio this fall! It's going to be four classes, 8 hours of sewing that will focus on cool home decor projects to help get your living space looking fabulous without breaking the bank.

Each two hour class will focus on a different home project:

Class 1
Intro to Sewing Machine & Basic Sewing - Project: Coasters, Placemats and matching fabric napkins
Class 2
Review of Sewing Machine and Basic Sewing - Project: Basic curtains/ Window treatments
Class 3
Intro to Pattern Reading - Project: Pillows, Pillow Covers and/or stuffed fabric ottoman.
Class 4
Pattern Review & Sewing technique practice - Quilted Patchwork Throw

And since this is our first class, we don't have a lot of project photos, but I put together a little slide show of examples of things we are going to be making in this class:

The 8 hour class is $149 plus the cost of materials and the really cool thing is that this class can work for complete beginners, as well as stitchers that have some sewing experience. Choose between two different difficulty levels on the project each eek. You are sure to go home with mad sewing skills when you are done!

Here is more information from our site.

Reversible, Super Comfy Skirts are Here

We are branching out and expanding our options with clothing now! But not just any clothing!

There has to be something completely unique about any clothing we are going to offer and with these skirts, that certainly is the case!

Not only are the reversible skirts, yep, you guessed it, REVERSIBLE, they are just about the most comfy skirt you will where this summer!

The top part/waist band of the skirt is made of organic stretchy jersey knit so it's super soft and oh so comfortable on your belly & hips. The double layer of fabric, also helps to smooth out any bumps you may have in that area (holla!)

The skirt part is made of either cotton or rayon fabric that keeps it light, cool & casual, but substantial enough, that with the right job (of course) you could wear these cuties to work. And Bike riding is a cinch in these skirts (yes, of course I have already tried!) Heck, if you could do yoga in a skirt, these would be the skirt to do it in!

As with everything we offer, you can choose from an assortment of readymade skirts that are here in the store and ready to ship. Or if you would rather choose your own adventure, you can choose from an assortment of solid colored organic cotton jersey swatches for the top, and then of course choose from our vast fabric assortment in the fabric palette for your lower, skirt portions. Your skirt is then made for you and shipped within two weeks of your order date.

Seriously, all you need is one skirt and you have two completely different looks that you can wear twice as long without people wondering if you ever do laundry ; ) LOVE THAT!

Oooh, and did I mention how afforable they are? Just $32 for the readymade skirts and $38 to design your own. Come on, it doesn't get much better than that!

THey are loving all the cool projects they have been making, so I just wanted to add the latest pics from class. Some are "Work in progress" shots and some are great posed pictures of the proud students and their hard work.

If this looks like something you, or someone you know, would be into there is still some room in our second session starting on July 27th. Sign up soon, cause we are almost full. Here is the info.
